Coaching Philosophy
(Why I coach?)
I coach to teach players the love I have for the game and to utilize all the tools to help them live to their truest and highest potential.
Wins come when we use all of our tools.
I believe in teaching the uniqueness of fastpitch softball as well as what it means to be a good teammate, accept constructive criticism and failure, learn how to get back up, and care about the person they are in the world.
The responsibility that comes with working with young people and having a moment to influence their path is something I take seriously. To share in the journey of these athletes is a privilege and an honor. It gives me an avenue to help the next generation as well as build a community for them.

Coaching Philosophy
(Why I coach?)
My coaching philosophy is relatively simple. I believe sports bring out so many amazing qualities in people. If coached correctly we can teach kids how to focus, how to set goals, how to conquer challenges and how to be a great teammate. I respect the game of softball for all its strategy, all its difficulty, and all of its opportunity to inspire.

Coaching Philosophy
(Why I coach?)
I believe in taking advantage of every opportunity that I have to pass on the love, respect and pride I have for the game of softball. My focus is to teach the strategies involved as well as the basic mechanics of the game. I coach in hopes that I can help to create talented and knowledgeable softball players as well as persons of character.
Coaching Experience
I started to coach with the Lady owls in 2017 and have been working with all our levels of play on hitting for the past 4 years. I like to take the time to review the swing and break down the habits to ensure girls see success in the games... not just In the cage.

Coaching Philosophy
(Why I coach?)
I have always coached my daughter and her friends. In watching their success, I have found a passion to correct the small issues before they become habits. I coach to see the player succeed at the plate.

Why I coach?
Softball had been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It has brought me happiness, friendship, and made me the person I am today. Being able to share the love and joy for the sport to younger athletes is a privilege I love to be apart of.
Playing and Coaching Experience
Baseball has always been a part of my life. I began playing at East Islip High School and continued my career at Mercy College. After graduating college in 1995, I continued to play in various baseball and softball leagues.
Coaching Experience
I have been coaching for over 25 years. After college, I began with a 15 & 16 year old team. From there I went on to coach at all levels ranging from 7-17 year olds. In 2011, my family joined the Islip Owls Baseball Organization where I was given the opportunity to coach my two sons and be a part of the Owls Board of Directors. The past few years I have been working with the Lady Owls Program by supporting their coaches with practices, clinics, camps and private lessons both in and off season.
Coaching Philosophy
(Why I coach?)
Coaching has always been a passion for me. The idea of “hard work pays off” is the core component of my coaching philosophy. I believe you don’t have to be the biggest or strongest kid to be a great ball player and even better teammate. Watching young athletes grow into great players and people, on and off the field, is rewarding and inspiring.
